Privacy Policy
Which data is processed when you visit this website – and which is not.
Controller
The controller within the meaning of the GDPR is the provider named in the legal notice (Impressum): Seebie90 Gaming, c/o IP-Management #12295, Ludwig-Erhard-Straße 18, 20459 Hamburg, Germany, e-mail: [email protected].
In short
This website uses no analytics or tracking services, and has no forms or comment function apart from the anonymous “Was this helpful?” buttons (see below). Fonts and scripts are loaded from our own server. No content is loaded from third-party servers. The only cookie is a preference cookie that is set when you choose the light or dark appearance yourself (see below).
Hosting and Cloudflare
The website runs on our own server and is delivered through the service Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). Cloudflare receives your request and forwards it to the server. In doing so, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of the request, the page requested and information about your browser.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest is to provide the website securely and reliably and to protect it from attacks. Cloudflare may also process data in third countries; the basis for this is the safeguards provided by Cloudflare under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR (including standard contractual clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). Further details are in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Server access logs
The web server of this website does not write its own access logs. Your IP address is therefore not stored on the server.
Cookie and local storage for the colour theme
If you switch between the light and dark appearance at the top of the page, your browser stores this choice in a small cookie
named sb-theme. It holds only the value light or dark, applies to all pages under
seebie90gaming.com (so your choice stays the same across our websites) and expires after one year. It exists solely
to apply your explicit choice, contains no identifier and is not evaluated. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in
conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Visitors who made this choice earlier may also have the same value in local storage
(localStorage, key maws-theme); it stays on your device and is not transmitted. You can delete both at
any time in your browser settings.
Feedback buttons (“Was this helpful?”)
On the pages of the individual projects, every section and every code example has two thumb buttons. If you click one, your browser sends
the identifier of the section (for example safezone/outline.html#the-alarm-ring), your choice (helpful or not helpful) and your previous choice, if you
had voted before (so that a changed vote is not counted twice), to our own server through this website. Only a counter for that section is increased. No cookie
is set, no account is needed and neither your IP address nor any other identifier is stored with the vote. To protect against automated abuse, the server counts
requests per IP address in memory for up to one hour; this is not written to disk or to a log. Cloudflare processes the request like any other request (see
above). Your own choice is also remembered in your browser (localStorage, key sb-fb) so that the button shows it and you can change your
vote; it stays on your device apart from what is described above. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our interest in finding out which parts of the
documentation help and which do not). You can delete the stored value at any time in your browser settings.
Background animation (“Code rain”)
The faint falling lines of code in the background are drawn in your browser from a list that is delivered with the page; nothing is loaded from other
servers and nothing is sent. If you switch the animation off with the button at the bottom of the page, your browser remembers this choice in local storage
(localStorage, key sb-coderain, value off). It stays on your device and is not transmitted. The animation stops by itself
if your system asks for reduced motion. You can delete the stored value at any time in your browser settings.
External links
The website links to external sites, for example the Arma Reforger Workshop or our Discord server. A connection to the respective provider is only made when you click such a link. The provider's privacy policy applies to its data processing.
Contact by e-mail
If you write to us by e-mail, we process your details (sender address, content of the message) to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR or, where the request concerns a contract, Art. 6(1)(b). We delete the data once the request has been dealt with and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f) (Art. 21). You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For any request, please use the e-mail address given in the legal notice.
